Deer & Almond

Deer + Almond is one of Winnipeg's most celebrated restaurants, located in the heart of the Exchange District at 85 Princess Street. Chef-owner Mandel Hitzer - known for appearances on Food Network's Wall of Chefs - opened the restaurant in 2012 with a vision for eclectic, homestyle cooking perfect for sharing.

The restaurant offers a four-course tasting menu featuring globally-inspired dishes built around Manitoba ingredients. Signature items include baby potatoes, salt and pepper squid, and beef tartare. The warm, relaxed atmosphere is designed for conversation, laughter, and great food.

Deer + Almond also runs RAW:almond, a winter pop-up dining experience hosted on the frozen Red River that brings in acclaimed chefs from across North America.
