Equilibrium Massage Therapy
Equilibrium Massage Therapy is a Winnipeg massage therapy and wellness clinic led by Jenna McMahon, with a team-based approach to clinical care, prenatal and postnatal support, myofascial therapy, athletic therapy, and concussion rehabilitation.
About Equilibrium Massage Therapy
A Clinic Built Around Thoughtful Care
For Jenna McMahon, Equilibrium Massage Therapy began with a simple observation: people needed more than a one-off appointment. They needed a place where massage therapy could be part of a thoughtful, clinically focused approach to care.
Jenna had already been practicing as a massage therapist for seven years when her own work started pointing her toward a bigger idea. Her practice was busy, she had developed a clinical focus in perinatal care, and she was seeing how massage therapy was slowly shifting in the public mind from “something you do to treat yourself” into an important part of allied health care. Through her work as a birth support RMT, she was also spending time inside hospitals, alongside nurses and physicians, and seeing where hands-on care could fit into a broader health picture.
Building a Team Clients Can Trust
That experience helped shape Equilibrium Massage Therapy and Wellness, a Winnipeg clinic Jenna describes as a space for high-standard clinical care. The goal was not just to gather practitioners under one roof, but to build a team that could work collaboratively. If a client feels safe with one practitioner, Jenna says, they may be more open to seeing someone across the hall who can help with a different part of their treatment plan.
That team-based model remains central to how Jenna thinks about care. She wants the full client experience to feel supported from the moment someone arrives to the time they leave. When that happens, it tells her the cohesive team and carefully built environment are working together. Just as important is whether clients feel they received a high standard of care, saw meaningful results, and found answers after being stuck in a loop with chronic pain, stubborn injuries, or other ongoing concerns.
At Equilibrium, the focus is not on keeping clients tied to one specific practitioner. It is on helping each person find the pathway that best supports their wellness, whether that means working with one therapist, seeing someone else across the hall, or being connected through the clinic’s broader professional network.
Specialized Support Through Every Stage
Equilibrium is especially known for prenatal, postnatal, and birth support care. Jenna says the clinic has long had one of Winnipeg’s largest perinatal massage therapy departments, with multiple therapists who have focused training in supporting pregnant and postpartum clients. The clinic also includes practitioners with specific clinical focuses such as myofascial therapy, TMJ-related work, athletic therapy, and concussion rehabilitation.
For Jenna, experience matters. She tries to maintain a balance among therapists at different stages of their careers, from newer practitioners to those with many years behind them. That tiered approach also creates space for newer therapists to be mentored by senior practitioners, helping carry forward the level of skill and continuity of care clients rely on. Many members of the team have been practicing for 15 or 20-plus years, and Jenna believes that depth of experience can make a meaningful difference for clients looking for condition-based support rather than a general massage appointment.
A New Home Near Osborne Village
The clinic has also entered a new physical chapter. After years of looking for the right location, Equilibrium moved from its original home on Pembina Highway to a new space near Osborne Village. The move took careful coordination while the clinic continued operating. Now, the new space gives the team room to continue growing in the neighbourhood. Jenna is excited about being tucked into a new community, getting to know nearby businesses, and laying down roots there.
The new environment was designed to hold both sides of the clinic’s identity: clean, minimal, and clinical, while still warm, relaxing, and settling for the nervous system. Customers have noticed. In Google reviews, clients repeatedly mention the professionalism and knowledge of the therapists, the calming feel of the space, and the sense that treatment is adjusted to individual needs and comfort levels.
One reviewer, Adam, described receiving help through concussion rehabilitation and myofascial work, calling the new space “stunning” while still serene and calming. Another reviewer, Melanie, wrote that Jen was professional, knowledgeable, and took time to assess concerns and create a plan. Those themes line up closely with what Jenna hopes people experience at Equilibrium: care that is personalized, grounded, and built around results.
Balance Inside and Outside the Clinic
Outside the clinic, Jenna is intentional about making space for the things that keep her grounded. Yoga remains woven into her life and her treatment philosophy, even though she is not actively teaching community classes. She values time in nature and has had dogs as a central part of her home life for nearly two decades. She is now exploring ways to stay connected to that love of dogs through volunteering or fostering, including support for Manitoba Underdogs Rescue.
Equilibrium is approaching 17 years in business, and Jenna still speaks about it with the energy of someone who loves the work and remains deeply passionate about what she does. Alongside the clinic’s new neighbourhood chapter, she is also preparing to launch a sister clinic focused on brain health and concussion care, inspired in part by her own experience with traumatic brain injury.
Helping Clients Find the Care That Fits
For clients, Equilibrium’s message is steady: whether someone is looking for relaxation, support through pregnancy, help with a stubborn injury, or a more comprehensive path through allied health care, the team’s focus is on helping them feel safe, understood, and supported in finding the care that fits.
Customer Review
“Over the last couple of months, I’ve continued to receive amazing massages from Ryan. I also started Concussion Rehabilitation with him for a two-year-old injury, and the results have been wonderful — it finally feels like my head is screwed on right again! Yesterday, I had my first Myofascial Restoration Massage with Jeff and OH. MY. GAWD. I felt like a piece of Play-Doh he was remoulding. The physical and emotional release was EVERYTHING I didn’t know I had been looking for. I’d give way more than 5 stars if I could for my experiences with Ryan and Jeff! Ryan is a very knowledgeable, talented, and well-rounded therapist who uses different modalities to target troublesome areas and actually work out the issues. The new space is not only stunning, but they’ve managed to maintain a serene, calming environment. As someone who has had hundreds of massages all over the world, I HIGHLY recommend this place — and specifically Ryan and Jeff — for truly life-changing treatments.
