Made Here

Made Here opened in 2018 as a collaborative venture to transform a vacant space into a platform for local artisans. The store raised $20,000 for children's charities in its first year. In 2022, Lindsey Cabato - who had been part of the founding team with a background in retail and as a maker herself - took ownership and turned the store into a movement that champions community and craftsmanship.

Located beneath the Fairmont Hotel Winnipeg on the lower concourse of the Richardson Centre, Made Here showcases products from over 110 local makers and artisans, including jewelry, home decor, clothing, artwork, serving ware, children's toys, soaps, cosmetics, candles, and preserves. As a proud BiPOC Filipino woman entrepreneur and mother of two, Lindsey is dedicated to creating a space where every product tells a story and every purchase supports a local dream.

The store is committed to supporting local children's charities like The Dream Factory and Art City, and fostering youth through mentorships and internships. Lindsey can usually be found in the store herself, providing insights into the stories behind the products.
